Installing on wood requires a drill with a 1/4" bit, lag screws, washers and a ratchet with 1/2" socket. Installing on concrete requires a hammer, drill with a 1/2" concrete bit, 4 concrete spread anchors, 4 mounting bolts with washers and a ratchet with 1/2" socket. The freestanding base requires 400 pounds of stabilization, which can be achieved with 8 20" square patio blocks or by weighting the free planter kit included with this set (a $65 value!).
