The fire pit itself is constructed with 3-mm thick cold rolled steel for maximum durability, and the natural rust finish gives it a great look. A stainless steel spark screen, cooking grill, fire poker and a vinyl cover are all included. The bowl of this pit measures 31" across and 13-1/2" deep so there is plenty of room for 5 average sized pieces of firewood. The wildlife cutouts enhance ventilation, minimize smoke and improve airflow to produce more heat.
The Sojoe 31-Inch Wildlife Fire Pit includes a free durable vinyl weather cover to keep it looking new season after season. Remember to add a 1" to 2" layer of sand to the bottom of the pit to extend the life of the fire bowl. This fire pit is treated with a protective rustic patina finish. When the first fire is burned the finish will etch into the steel and become part of the protective finish.
If you plan to use your fire pit on a wood deck we recommend placing it over a protective pad or paving stones, which can be purchased at your local hardware store.
